Gin and John got married just before Christmas with a gorgeous winter wedding set in the Cheshire countryside at Delamere Manor, which apparently used to be home to none other than Gary Barlow of Take That. There were no traces however of the manor’s previous occupier, and the current owners have done a wonderful job of turning the modern manor into a top class wedding venue. Though it was quite weird to have a break in the fully functional family kitchen and watch wedding guests wander through – it felt almost as if they were walking through my home 🙂
But enough about the venue. Onto the couple, again I’ve been blessed to work with such a lovely bride and groom. Gin was a little nervous when I first met her. I like to think that was more to do with the fact that she was getting married in a couple of hours and less to do with a strange man turning up on her doorstep with a camera. But you could tell a lot about their relationship from the fact that you could see Gin visibly relax when she got to the front of the aisle and stood next to John. When these guys were together they were always smiling and you could tell they really enjoyed each others company.
I filmed Gin and John’s wedding the day before I, myself, proposed to my girlfriend. So hearing how John proposed made me well up on several occasions, though I think I hid it pretty well. I don’t want to spoil it for you but it was pretty darn thoughtful and almost put my own proposal to shame… almost 😉
