A Peak edge wedding video
Claire and Andrew had a gorgeous Peak Edge wedding at the end of April
Wow. Well that was a rollercoaster of emotions.
When editing this film I found myself laughing one moment during the speeches, then trying not to choke up a moment later during the vows. Claire and Andrew are a couple that very much trust and rely on each other. They wrote their own vows, meaning we had the chance to really see how Claire and Andrew feel about each other. That, coupled with some very heartfelt meaning as they recited said vows, made it very hard for me to keep my eyes dry as i edited. It may also have had something to do with my own impending nuptials that gave it extra weight.
Now I don’t want to go on about the weather buuuuuuuut we pretty much experienced everything that Britain had to offer. Peak Edge Hotel is a lovely venue set just outside Chesterfield in the the Derbyshire hills. We were a little concerned that we wouldn’t get much chance to see the gorgeous countryside as it started chucking it down shortly after I arrived…then it started sleeting…then it started snowing. Oddly enough though, after Claire and Andrew said their vows and walked out as husband and wife this run of odd weather gave way to some glorious warm sunshine, allowing Lee Brown (Claire and Andrew’s awesome photographer) and I to capture some stunning shots in the warm spring sunset.
Both Claire and Andrew were an absolute pleasure to be around and film. Andrew was really easy going and his Best Man had covered a fair few weddings as a photographer so I managed to get some really great footage with the guys in the morning. With the girls, you’d never believe it watching this but Andrew mentioned to me that Claire wasn’t the biggest fan of cameras. I’m pretty sure we can all agree when watching this though, the camera was definitely a fan of Claire.
Anyway, you didn’t come here to read me going on and on, so take a look at the film.
