A Sheldrakes restaurant wedding video
I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a while. In all of my correspondence with Aine she seemed so excited about the wedding that it was impossible not to catch a little bit of that from her. It seems she had every reason to be excited. Family flew in from all over to witness the marriage of Joe and Aine and the whole day really felt like a family affair from start to finish. Everyone made us feel so welcome and seemed happy to have us there.
My day kicked off with a visit to Aine’s parents house where she was making last minute finishing touches to presents for her friends and family. Aine was so relaxed and chatted like we’d known each other for years whilst the bustle and business of the day just happened around her. Now the ceremony was taking place only a five minutes drive from the house so as soon as Aine was in the dress I pretty much raced her to the church. It has to be probably the fastest ceremony setup I’ve ever done!
After the ceremony we noticed an oddity: someone had parked an ice cream van in front of the church. Concern turned to jubilation when we discovered it was offering free ice cream! … albeit ice cream that Aine and Joe had paid for in advance to stop guests from wandering off during the formal photos. Nice touch.
Then we headed over to Sheldrakes Restaurant for the main reception. What a location! Set just on the estuary you can see in the video the amazing views and scenery it offered making for some awesome portrait shoots.
The evening was filled with laughter and fun on the dancefloor as Aine and Joe’s family and friends took to the dance floor to show off their moves. Special mention really has to go to the Fathers of the Bride and Groom for their surprisingly good “not-at-all-rehearsed” dance routine.
A big shout out to Lucy who was photographer/Aine’s personal assistant on the day and was an absolute pleasure for us to work alongside.
I thoroughly enjoyed working on this wedding. Hope you enjoy the film.
