A Thornton manor wedding video

Rosie and James had a gorgeous Thornton Manor wedding in the Wirral on a surprisingly warm February’s day.

It’s really hard to encapsulate all of their wedding into a four minute highlights or a few hundred word blog post. There were so many things about the wedding day that endeared me to this couple and their wedding day. So many little moments of emotion, or joy, or fun that putting their films together were both the easiest things to do and the hardest. I just didn’t want to miss anything.

One of the biggest focuses of the day was that car. That beautiful classic car. Rosie had hired James a vintage E type Jaguar as a wedding present. As you hear in the film James had always wanted to drive one and surprising him with this was Rosie’s way of showing her love for him on their wedding day. I think it’s fair to say that there were a few moments in the day when the car was in danger of upstaging the bride but I really don’t think Rosie cared. In fact I suspect she was almost as excited about the car as James was.

Both Rosie and James on the morning of the wedding seemed like the picture of calm… but every so often one of them would break the facade: a nervous look, a sharp intake of breath, an impatient fidget. Capturing some of these moments really brought home the truth. These were two people deeply in love, very much looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together. You could tell from the speeches and the general buzz from the day that these two were made for each other and this day was the culmination of years of adventures and joy for them.

There were so many great moments once the vows were done as well, it was hard for the guest to get bored. From cards against humanity being won by James’ grandma (yes THAT cards against humanity), to a surprise Beyonce tribute act, to some of the worlds greatest dance offs and sparklers in memory of those not present. There was so much going on that it was impossible to fit it all into 4 minutes… It’s a good thing they have the feature film as well.

Such a brilliant day. Such a wonderful couple.

Thanks so much for letting us be a part of it

A big shout out to Jessica O’Shaughnessy who was the photographer on the day and an absolute pleasure to work with. You can see her brilliant photos from the day here.
